As the marketing designer for Pinterest, I conceptualized and crafted a variety of creative solutions across many mediums and surfaces including in-product, marketing, and internal channels. The assets I worked on included UI marketing assets, in-product campaigns, and abstract UI illustration assets. These required working effectively and collaboratively with other designers, cross-functional teams, and various stakeholders. I also worked alongside campaign managers to analyze design asset performance to further improve marketing efforts.

UI MARKETING ASSETS

Working alongside product designers and engineers, I designed UI marketing assets to be shared both internally as well as for external marketing purposes. To showcase new product features, I implemented my visual storytelling skills using high-quality images, original copy, and trend insight to create compelling UI marketing assets.

UI ILLUSTRATIONS

I designed abstracted UI illustrations for various marketing efforts. Instead of showcasing new product features as it would appear realically, some cases felt better to remove unneccessary and distracting visual elements in favor of a more playful and dynamic design. This helped users get more excited still understanding the feature itself. Below is an example of design assets placed in the context of a informational email campaign.

IN-PRODUCT DESIGN ASSETS (FEEDCARDS)

One of the main channels for in-product campaigns was through feedcards. These feedcards appear prominantly to users in the homefeed and would be reserved for the promoting new features, collaboration, or seasonal campaigns. I also managed many international feedcard campaigns and worked with the localization team on translation and curating region-specific images. These feedcards could be either static or video, depending on the importance and deadline of the request.
