OAKLAND MUSEUM OF CALIFORNIA (OMCA)
2024
PERSONAL PROJECT
SOFTWARE: FIGMA, PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR
TYPE: BRAND IDENTITY
The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) is a leading cultural institution in the Bay Area whose mission is to “explore the big ideas that shape California lives, then bring to life the untold and under-told stories of the people behind them—all with a distinctly Oakland point of view.”
BRIEF
Design a new logo, brand identity and various marketing and brand assets for the OMCA.
SOLUTION
I wanted a fresh brand and visual identity that kept the museum’s mission, while also making it feel more playful, unique, and local. To achieve this I created illustrations representing iconic Oakland imagery. I also highlighted that the OMCA is more than a museum; it was also a garden and community space.
